Introduction to Critical Literacy: Read the Word & the World from Re-Imagine Education (RiEd) is a curriculum set that provides the foundational knowledge necessary for developing critical literacy in students. It begins with a unit analyzing worldviews and developing lenses through which to understand the world. It continues with an examination of race, gender, class, and culminates with an intersectionality unit.

Each unit in Introduction to Critical Literacy: Read the Word & the World contains 15 lessons which include: close reads, a project, a unit exam, and reflection questions that can be done with others in a circle or individually.
